The SCOLI Support Group
AWARENESS. COPING. EDUCATION.
We are proud to host a dedicated support group for spine patients, their families, and close friends. At our quarterly meetings, you will find a welcoming environment designed to help you:
Share Personal Experiences: Connect with others who have faced similar procedures, conditions, and long-term challenges. Gain comfort in knowing you are not alone, while exchanging strategies for emotional and physical well-being.
Discuss Coping Methods: Learn practical techniques to manage pain, reduce stress, and address the fears that can accompany spine-related conditions. Explore approaches to rehabilitation, exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications that may improve overall quality of life.
Hear from Leading Experts: Benefit from the insights of physicians, surgeons, therapists, researchers, and other professionals at the forefront of spine care. Stay informed about emerging treatment options, state-of-the-art surgical methods, and current clinical trials that could influence future outcomes.
Access Resources and Support: Get information on hospital programs, outpatient services, reputable online tools, patient advocacy groups, and printed educational materials that can be easily taken home. Understand how to navigate insurance questions, arrange follow-up care, or coordinate additional therapies.
Enjoy Light Refreshments and Convenience: Meet and mingle over complimentary snacks and beverages. Take advantage of discounted parking and a comfortable, accessible meeting space that accommodates patients with varying levels of mobility.
These meetings are open to anyone impacted by a spine condition—whether you’ve undergone treatment, are preparing for a procedure, or are supporting a loved one through recovery. Our goal is to foster community, empowerment, and the knowledge that you have the tools and understanding to move forward.
