Ayesha is a principal research fellow at SCOLI, studying cervical myelopathy and pursuing ML practices in her research. Outside of work, she's an active tennis player and fantastic singer. She serves as Intern Program Director and is a leader in neurosurgery who continues to impress.

Beyond Research
Dr. Waheed is a multifaceted individual who brings creativity and diverse experiences to her research career. Before pursuing medicine, she had a successful singing and arts career, demonstrating her artistic talents and creative expression.
During medical school at Aga Khan University, she showed early leadership potential by taking on significant roles in the surgery interest group, where she mentored fellow students and organized educational activities that fostered interest in surgical specialties.
Today, she continues to maintain her diverse interests including tennis, fitness, and the arts, bringing balance and a well-rounded perspective to her demanding research career. Her artistic background contributes to her innovative approach to problem-solving in medical research.
