
The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh is proud to announce that Abigail “Abby” Crum has received her Doctor of Medical Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh. This significant achievement represents years of dedicated study and commitment to advancing her expertise in the neurosurgical field.
Abby Crum joined the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery as a physician assistant in October 2022 after completing her academic training at Duquesne University in the five-year physician assistant program. During her time at Duquesne, she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
Since joining our team, Abby has distinguished herself through her multidisciplinary approach to patient care, working collaboratively with specialists across neurology, orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain management, and interventional radiology. Her special interest in treating complex spinal conditions through safe and effective methods has made her an invaluable member of our department.
